The future of rap music is going to change alot because of all the new styles being introduced to the rap scene today. Personally I don't think the change is for the better because Rap and Hip Hop should be the way it used to be before all the bling and all the acting. By acting I mean more and more people are doing stuff to just gain publicity and fame. Rap used to be just based of real life events that have happened or something you've been through.
Also for the future of rap I do see good things happening too. For example, more and more styles will clash together to form other styles of music and that will bring us together. People come together with rap music so that will bring us as a country and maybe even other countries will enjoy it as much as we do. More will step out to learn the history of rap music and how there is more than 808 drums and big bass that started rap. That most of the music they listen to came from African culture.
What people can do for rap music is just keep on supporting our artist and keep supporting our kids and adults who see a future in the industry. Rap I think should be taught in schools so that kids will have a better understanding of the roots and history. Also rap ties into poetry so I dont see why rap should'nt be taught in schools. To enjoy rap fully, you must first go and experience it. For example most parents who don't like rap music I bet are going off what they hear and see on T.V. instead of buying an album from Kanye West or Lupe Fiasco and listening to the message behind them. Rapper Ludacris went from talking about "HOES" to rapping about stuff in politics and everyday problems. Some rappers mature as time goes on and all the money and cars dont mean anything if you dont know what goes on in your own community. So don't jump to conclusions about all rappers to you have fully experienced rap at its full pontential.
Rap music can better the lives of people who are touched by certain songs and just like the overall vice of music. People who go through situations and hardships often find some music calming and can sometimes relate to the artist's lyrics.
